Who Needs Kentucky? - NYTimes.com

It's bourbon season. I know this because we've drunk the last bottle of dry rosé, and because wild turkeys are lurking around the neighborhood again.

And you are going to try a New York bourbon? I guess if you like your salsa from New York City, then why not New York bourbon. Aged less than a year and selling for $39 a 375mm bottle!!!!! I know what comes to my mind. - H2

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Oddly enough, with all the wall street shenanigans, I was wondering who needs New York.

Wall St is not New York. If that were the case, I would have left long ago (been a bartender for them - such douche bags).

I stay for the art community. And no, won't be having New York Bourbon. Give me a bottle of Knob Creek any day.

Rarely drink any alcohol, but the idea of something aged just one year kinda reminded me of the cheap rotgut. I would mention the names but, apparently, the recipes and aging has changed in the past 40 years. They get really good reviews these days. So who knows..... in a few years or forty, this N.Y. whiskey might take off.
